Job Description:
Design Group Energy Division has partnered with an intermediate oil and gas operator in their search for Senior Reservoir Engineer.  Our client possesses a diversified asset base, balanced between gas and oil production.
As a Senior Reservoir Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical guidance on waterflood optimization, exploration of EOR strategies and improving cash flow from current assets.

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Professional Engineer with a minimum of 8 years' experience directly involved with reservoir engineering.
  • Expertise with development of reservoir simulation models.
  • Demonstrated success in practical waterflood management and expansion in complex oil reservoirs and/or development of tight gas assets.
  • Knowledge of current EOR strategies and technologies.
  • Ideally, experience with advanced decline curve analysis, OFM and CMG Suite is an asset.

Job Duties:
  • Develop and execute well by well optimization assessments.
  • Maximize depletion strategies for existing wells and new wells, with emphasis on waterflood management.
  • Assist teams in assessing project risk and uncertainty on capital programs.
  • Appraise IOR and EOR development throughout our clients portfolio.
  • Evaluate assets for acquisition.
  • Support and provide input through reserves process.
  • Engage internal technical resources and compile reservoir characterization data.
  • Assess risk on capital programs.
  • Guide junior and intermediate reservoir staff.
