Job Description:
The Information Services organization at Wawanesa Insurance provides value to our customers by contributing to the goals of the business through leadership in the development and effective delivery of information technology services.
We continue to initiate strategic projects that will enable our business community to achieve their goals. As a result of these initiatives, we are growing our team! Consider this exciting, challenging Winnipeg based opportunity:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Application Services, the ERP System Analyst is responsible for ensuring all business requirements are gathered, documented and translated into functional specifications in anticipation of implementing them within the systems development

Job Requirements:

  •     Post-secondary degree/certificate in Management, or Business Analysis program of a recognized university or college or the equivalent in experience and education.
  •     Demonstrated 5 years plus PeopleSoft or other ERP system experience.
  •     Demonstrated production experience, troubleshooting production issues in General Ledger and Accounts Payable.
  •     Strong business process analysis, design, and development tools and techniques.
  •     Understanding of key workflow objectives and how performance can be improved through the use of technology and process redesign.
  •     Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
  •     Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
  •     Demonstrated experience as liaison between business community and demonstrated ability to conduct change management and knowledge transfer to business community in tree development, report development, work flow development.
  •     Understanding of the System Development Life Cycle is considered an asset.
  •     Awareness of the sizing/estimating process, information systems development and support, and the preparation of detailed work plans/schedules.

Job Duties:
  • Work collaboratively with functional areas to identify and document business requirements for PeopleSoft GL; Accounts Payable; Asset Management and Project Costing.
  • Conduct business requirement review sessions with business and technical functional areas to communicate business changes.
  • Resolve business requirement issues that emerge through design, development and testing.
  • Communicate and train end-users to ensure successful integration of system changes and business processes.
  • Provide functional support to the PS Financials General Ledger and Accounts Payable; Asset Management and Project Costing departments.
  • Define requirements for AP & GL production reports or functional report specifications.
  • Develop AP & GL workflows as required, and perform post Go Live system trouble shooting.
  • Utilize the departments established processes and methodology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
