Job Description:
Our Brintnell property contains a vast resource of medium oil which is currently producing at significant rates with a large multi-year capital program in place.  The property is currently being produced under both primary and polymer flooding. CNRL is actively expanding the polymer flood and is looking for an individual that wishes to be part of this significant opportunity. As one of the Exploitation Engineers based in our Calgary office, you  will support optimizing and expanding the production targets of our Brintnell team as well as recommending and implementing new recovery methods.

Job Requirements:
• Typically 10+ years of industry experience with Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGA as a P. Eng  
• Familiarity with and understanding of: Reservoir engineering, economic evaluations and water flooding experience 
• Candidates with experience in horizontal wells, medium/heavy oil, polymer flooding, reservoir simulation and field operations are strongly preferred

Job Description:
• Work with other Exploitation and Production Engineers to monitor, optimize, and expand the project for maximum economic oil recovery
• Review new EOR technologies for implementation to maximize oil recovery
• Work with Geology and Drilling to identify, budget, monitor, optimize and execute drilling opportunities
• Provide short and long term development plans and present the recommendations to senior management
• Calculate, maintain and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the corporate reserves
• Conduct reservoir studies and analysis on existing  and emerging exploration prospects
• Optimize the implementation and operating practices for the polymer flood
• Promote innovation by recommending and implementing new recovery methods
• Find and develop new opportunities on existing and prospective company assets in cooperation with team
• Ensure and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the corporate reserves
