Job Description:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is part of the Treasury Systems team responsible for the development and implementation of key initiatives that support the Treasury Open Systems infrastructure, applications and clients. Treasury Open Systems are used by over 4,000 employees across North America and Asia on a daily basis.
Reporting to the Director, Treasury Systems, this position would be a senior member of the team functioning as a key contributor on the BSA team and working with the system architect, the hire would play a lead role in defining system requirements and helping to develop and implement the solution.
Candidate will work with various business analysts to understand and influence the business and technical requirements in order to support their business needs. The role adheres to company methodologies in translating business requirements into system specifications and in ensuring that the business' requirements are clearly understood, communicated and implemented. Gather information on user functions, procedures and information needs through a variety of methods and sources.

Job Requirements:

  •     Treasury/Cash Management knowledge is required.
  •     Business Analysis experience in an IT environment
  •     A good understanding of project lifecycle; working in an Agile environment would be a benefit
  •     Prefer 5-6 years relevant industry experience
  •     Good relationship, interviewing, analytical/problem solving skills
  •     Ability to adapt quickly and easily to changes within the business
  •     Strong oral and written communication skills
  •     University education preferred
  •     Ability to work independently or in a team environment on larger projects.
  •     Excellent organization, planning and time management skills.

Job Duties:
  •     Work in a consultative role to provide "value-adding" insights in the form of analysis, interpretation and advice.
  •     Liaise with Business stakeholders to conduct effective discussions on project requirements, data specifications, priority and timeline to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  •     Lead/ execute data/business analysis using various internal data sources to support the understanding of business customers, business drivers and the financial results.
  •     Communicate analysis and ideas clearly, concisely and effectively with business partners and internal teams
  •     Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for both vendor and proprietary applications.
  •     Leading/managing components of small sized projects/initiatives. This will include such tasks as interacting and negotiating with other departments.
  •     Providing documented system specifications for approved NBRs and Projects. This will include such tasks as system gap analysis, defining system requirements, identifying issues and recommending solutions.
  •     Ensuring that system solutions meet the business specifications and adhere to quality standards. This may include such tasks as writing testing strategies and reviewing test plans as well as developing and reviewing implementation plans.
  •     Collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional teams. Coordinating with Vendors.
