Job Description:
Design Group Energy Division is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Completions Engineer for an E&P client.
Our client is a leading intermediate producer with a diversified asset base and a proven record of success and growth. The organization values collaboration, commitment and employee development and engagement.
The ideal candidate will have over 12+ years of oil and gas experience with an expertise in completions engineering. Effective time management, communication and interpersonal skills will be crucial to the success of the candidate.
This position requires travel to field locations as necessary (10% - 20%).

Job Requirements:

  • BSc or engineering diploma in a related Engineering discipline.
  • Professional engineer or technologist with 12 or more years of experience.
  • Ideally, one year or more of focused field experience.
  • In depth knowledge of HZ completions and stimulations and a proven track record executing Frac jobs safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with 24 operations and multi-well pad construction/operations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines in Alberta and British Columbia.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Vested interest in mentorship of less experienced staff members.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with completions experience on tight formation or shale assets.
  • Candidates with exposure to or previous experience in production, drilling and facility engineering are highly desirable.

Job Duties:
  •     Oversee all operations relating to: completions, fracturing in the assigned geographical area.
  •     Remain up to date and evaluate latest fracture and completion technologies.
  •     Provide guidance and expertise in regards to frac analyses, execution and optimization.
  •     Conduct look backs on previous completions strategies an carry on learnings to future projects.
  •     Work with the drilling and production engineering groups to optimize long term well performance.
  •     Contribute to the development of strategies to maximize well performance with production engineering.
  •     Oversee and track capital expenditures and identify opportunities to increase value.
  •     Manage field based consultants.
  •     Liaise between the office and the field, as well as with the Accounting Department.
