Job Description:
Design Group Energy Division working in collaboration with a Canadian based intermediate oil & gas producer who strives to create long term growth and value across it's diversified asset base.  
This client is recognized as an employer of choice in within the oil and gas industry and holds values of consistency, credibility, dedicated work ethic and commitment to corporate objectives.
We are seeking a technically focused Exploitation Engineer to work a central Alberta asset.

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering degree
  • 8 or more years of oil and gas industry experience, with focused experience in reservoir and exploitation engineering.
  • Experience contributing in team setting and working towards a common goal.
  • Reservoir engineering skills; experience with or exposure to RTA, PTA, Well Test, material balance, waterflood surveillance and optimization.
  • Reserve assessment and analysis experience.
  • Production forecasting
  • Petroleum Economics
  • Sound geological understanding.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • A&D evaluation experience
  • Computer application experience with: AccuMap (or GeoScout), PEEP, ValueNavigator, Oilfield Manager, WellTest, RTA, PW Outlook and Microsoft Office.

Job Duties:
  • Make economic evaluations of potential acquisitions or divestitures.
  • Work with geoscientists to generate and propose exploration opportunities.
  • Manage and execute capital projects in their asset area.
  • Make increases to production rates and reserve bookings.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with field staff.
  • Develop and execute optimal reservoir depletion strategies.
  • Informal leadership of an asset team.
