KPMG's Valuations group is part of the Transaction Advisory Services practice. The Valuations group is involved in valuing public and private companies for numerous purposes, including securities law requirements, merger and acquisition transactions, income tax reorganizations, corporate restructurings, and financial reporting, amongst other things. The group also quantifies damages and performs other economic analyses relating to contractual disputes, patent infringement claims, anti-trust violations, breach of contract claims, financing disputes and other litigation matters.

Position Summary:
KPMG currently has an opportunity for an experienced professional in our Valuation practice in Montreal.

Job Requirements:
•        CPA or CFA or Masters in Finance
•        CBV is a strong asset
•        Fluently bilingual (French/English);
•        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
•        Superior analytical skills, including financial statement analysis;
•        superior report writing abilities;
•        Excellent client relations and team player skills;
•        Strong leadership skills;
•        At a minimum 3 years of experience in business valuation;
•        Strong financial and accounting competence and skills.

Job Duties:
•        The individual would be responsible for supervising staff, client interaction, financial analysis and the preparation of valuation reports for numerous purposes.
•        The individual would be responsible for managing a variety of engagements from valuation assignments for financial reporting purposes to assisting legal counsel in damage quantification engagements.
•        The incumbent will be involved in the following:
•        Industry and public company research, analysis of multiples paid in comparable transactions and financial statements;
•        Supervision and training of valuation consultants;
•        Preparation of valuation models and valuation reports for intangible assets and businesses;
•        Preparation of expert reports for court filing.
