Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice President for Atlantic Region, you will be an Economical Insurance field ambassador who exceeds territory sales targets and delivers a superior broker experience by demonstrating needs satisfaction selling in all interactions. Please note that this position will be home-based out of New Brunswick, depending on the location of the successful candidate.

Job Minimum Requirements:

  •     University degree in any discipline or a college diploma or the CIP designation
  •     5 years Property and Casualty experience, preferably in sales or marketing
  •     Previous sales experience is preferred
  •     Bilingualism would be a great asset
  •     Demonstrated commercial lines underwriting experience would be a great asset
  •     Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, negotiating and interpersonal skills are essential for the optimum performance of the responsibilities of this position
  •     Valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the company
  •     Ability to coordinate 2 – 3 day overnight travel every six weeks

Job Duties:
  • Develop and implement business plans to encourage optimum profitable growth   
  • Analyze and evaluate brokers performance for strategic alignment
  • Identify new opportunities using "Sales System"
  • Preparing for broker calls by identifying the sales call objective, setting-up the appointment with the decision makers, and preparing customized presentations and reports
  • Involving brokers and internal resources required in exploring and identifying solutions that support Economical’s goals of long-term, profitable growth
  • Developing innovative solution(s) in conjunction with the broker
  • Integrating appropriate broker feedback into proposals, developing contingency plans (in case there is no agreement) and presenting recommendations
  • Conducting reviews with the internal team and the broker
  • Launching new products in territory
  • Deploying promotional and sales campaigns in territory
