Job Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing all administrative and resource aspects of the Volunteer program within Revera’s long term care homes.

Job Requirements:


  •     Preference given to Degree or diploma in a related field
  •     Minimum of one (1) year experience with seniors in an organized program or with persons in a health care setting
  •     Demonstrated experience or knowledge in recruitment, selection, orientation, placement and supervision of volunteers
  •     Must have strong interpersonal skills
  •     Demonstrated skills in both oral and written communication
  •     Ability to organize and manage time and workload
  •     Computer proficiency with Windows / Microsoft office applications


Job Duties:

  •     To recruit, orient, develop, coach and performance manage volunteers;
  •     To maintain records pertaining to Volunteers;
  •     To promote and maintain harmonious, effective relationships between Volunteers and staff;
  •     To plan and prepare departmental budget;
  •     To maintain Volunteer association financial records;
  •     To maintain Knowledge Base;
  •     To assist other departments as necessary;
  •     To prepare and file reports as required;
  •     To develop departmental policies and procedures;
  •     Ensures quality assurance program is maintained.
  •     Ensures resident satisfaction and continuous quality improvement initiatives are promoted.
  •     Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
  •     To uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera’s Code of Conduct;
  •     To complete all other tasks as assigned
