Job Summary:
Our client, a successful global entity, is looking to add a Senior Internal Auditor to their ranks. The position is one which will enable the candidate to leverage their work experience in a dynamic enterprise that continues to grow on an annual basis.

Minimum Requirement:

• Minimum of 4 years of construction, mining or manufacturing experience
• CIA Designation is strongly preferred
• University Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance;
• Financial services background would be beneficial;
• Professional designations such as CA/CPA/CMA/CGA;
• Experience in operational, financial, compliance and control based audits.

The main mandate of the Internal Audit department is to:

• Assist the Audit Committee in discharging their responsibilities;
• Contribute to the achievement of the business objectives;
• Provide assurance that governance risk and control management systems, and processes are understood and managed appropriately;
• Create a value-adding risk knowledge base.

Job Duties:

• Lead or partner with other auditors to plan and execute audit assignments;
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of core business processes;
• Document findings in a structured manner;
• Clearly articulate risks/control concerns to Business Unit Management, ensuring proposed management action plans will adequately address the identified risks;
• Write concise and easy to understand audit reports.
