About Us
SAIT's International Sales Group resides within the Corporate Training Department and is responsible for selling SAIT's Workforce Nationalization training programs and Institutional Consulting Services globally. Annual gross revenues currently exceed $4.0 million and it is SAIT's desire to grow these revenues significantly in the next 3 years.

Corporate Training is hiring a permanent full-time International Business Development Manager.  Reporting to the AVP Energy the incumbent contributes to the revenue activities of SAIT International by providing strategic level planning, sales and delivery.  This position requires a high degree of self-direction, the ability to set priorities and to be responsive to the demands of a broad range of stakeholders.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree such as Business
• MBA would be an asset.
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in a business development role.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, project implementation and general business management.
• Previous experience in business and industry training an asset.
• Be strongly self-directed, goal oriented and a team player.
• Exhibit professionalism and sound judgment.
• The incumbent should be a high achiever in a sales position with a proven international track record.
• Possess a high degree of business literacy (i.e., strategic planning, familiarity with best practices, standard business processes, procedures, etc).
• Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Have experience in facilitation and consultation.
• Be able to deliver high quality work within aggressive time-lines.
• Be able to pro-actively develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers, and partners.
• A second language is expected and Portuguese, Spanish or Arabic are preferable
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have no impediments to driving.
• Must possess a valid passport and have no impediments to travel.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Successful candidates must provide proof of qualifications. Only education obtained from an accredited institution will be recognized.

Job Duties:
• Identify markets, product and services sold (or exited) by SAIT International.
• Utilize and oversee strategic project analysis in determining markets, products and services sold by SAIT International.
• Identify strategic opportunities and partnerships which should be pursued by SAIT International to improve business performance (e.g., revenue generation, profitability, customer service, etc).
• Assess earned revenue business needs and work with stakeholders to identify solutions and strategies and reflect those in the strategic plan.
• Participate in SAIT’s institutional planning activities.
• Lead and/or participate in projects that specifically impact the achievement of strategic plans e.g., process improvements projects, needs and capability assessments, etc.
• Triages with SAIT coordinators and managers as required, to determine the availability of SAIT resources (curriculum, staff, facilities, equipment, etc) to deliver earned revenue programs or projects.
• Identifies any additional resources required to deliver or supplement delivery of any program or project and liaises with SAIT outsourcing manager to obtain resources.
• Works with other SAIT departments to ensure earned revenue receivables, projections and budgets.
• Work with departments within SAIT by providing customer feedback and supporting the incorporation of changes based on this feedback.
• Promotion of continuous quality improvement of customer service within SAIT International through incorporating customer feedback into the strategic, operational business and sales planning processes.
• Proactive in contributing to the success of SAIT’s earned revenue business
• Providing key input leading to the development of the SAIT International strategic plan, operational business plan and P&L.
