Consulting: Senior Associate, Data Management Group:In a global marketplace where systems, people and processes are interconnected, data is a valuable and strategic enterprise asset. Businesses and auditors constantly make decisions based on the data held within their IT systems. As systems become more complex and integral to the operation and direction of the business, the importance of the underlying data and information generated has never been greater.
As part of our Alberta Data Management Group, we work with our clients to solve business and compliance issues by performing robust, detailed analytics on their data. We develop and implement customized and industry-based solutions using a number of well-established tools, techniques and methodologies. Our projects include data analytics, financial analysis, data governance consulting, data transformation and other data intensive evaluation projects.

 Job Requirements:
•    At least three to seven years of professional experience with a strong track record in supporting complex business and/or technology projects driving data management. You should also have a high level of proficiency in the following skill:
•    Advanced understanding of data analysis concepts;
•    Scoping and drafting data request for specific tests to be performed;
•    Ability to develop data analysis programs/scripts;
•    Performing data validation and data integrity checks;
•    Writing scripts / work plans to meet objectives;
•    Ability to analyze and convey the potential business impacts of data analysis;
•    Candidates should have the desire to learn new programming skills and tools; and
•    Must be able to resolve data logic issues and modify data analysis techniques as appropriate.
•    Minimum of 3-7 years experience in a data management role;
•    Possess a business analyst or data development background and / or work experience;
•    Possess data transformation experience;
•    Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with clients and staff with minimal supervision;
•    Experience with SQL, ETL tool (Informatica, SSIS, etc), Microsoft Access and Excel (with VBA macros);
•    Knowledge of Programming language like VB or C# an asset; and
•    Work experience in Health Care, Energy, or Utilities will be considered an asset

Job Duties:
•    will be responsible for understanding major business cycles (purchases, sales, etc.), in order to design appropriate data analytics test plans and execute them. This role will also provide an opportunity for the individual to interact with our audit and advisory teams as well as our external clients to articulate the objectives and the end results. You will act as a mentor to the junior staff on the team.
•    Developing data analysis approach to solving business problems;
•    Developing and executing system code for data analytics and data transformations
•    Coaching and reviewing the work of junior level staff;
•    Writing detailed sections of client reports based on analysis performed; and
•    Ensuring our deliverables meet client expectations and our standards for quality.
