We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our dynamic Edmonton Deals team, with a focus on Corporate Advisory & Restructuring (CAR).

Working closely with the Edmonton Deals team, you will build on your experience in a number of areas and you will progress to where you manage a wide range of services with a high level of business acumen.  You will have numerous areas of responsibility which culminating in the delivery of service offerings to our Deals clients in the restructuring space.

Job Requiremts:
· Undergraduate degree in a business related field;
•    A professional accounting designation, or international equivalent (preference will be given to a CA/ CPA designation);
•    A minimum of 3 years experience in a professional services or business advisory environment;
•    Experience in supervising and leading a team;
•    Excellent accounting, financial analysis and modeling skills;
•    Effective project management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail;
•    Strong sense of initiative, continuously striving to acquire and develop related business knowledge;
•    Excellent analytical, problem solving and report writing skills;
•    Ability to execute and manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, with manager support;
•    Strong professional judgment;
•    A flexible attitude to your work;
•    Excellent communication and relationship building skills; and
•    Solid client relationship development and business development abilities.

Job Duties:
•    Consulting services for businesses in financial difficulty;
•    Development, use and analysis of financial results & forecasts;
•    Rapid operational turnaround;
•    Balance sheet restructuring;
•    Viability assessments;
•    Recovery strategies and analysis;
•    Business plan development, assessment and progress monitoring;
•    Distressed M&A and financing;
•    Court supervised restructuring and private appointments; and,
•    Team participation in financial and operational reviews to help clients through periods of chang
•    Preparing clear, concise reports detailing methodology, assumptions and issues;
•    Analyzing financial statements;
•    Working in a team environment, including training and coaching other staff members;
•    Strong project management skills;
•    Learning and adapting quickly in challenging environments;
•    Reporting to senior management; and
•    Working under tight deadlines.
