Position Summary
This role is tasked with helping to transform the way Global Management Consulting communicates with its key internal stakeholders, driving engagement across our network of member firms to support ambitious global growth ambitions, network connectivity and leadership engagement.
Although primarily focused on internal communications, the nature of the work will demand that the successful candidate works closely with external communication professionals to support marketing activity, business development and executive visibility opportunities for our global business leaders.
The role is a 6 month contract in Toronto.
 
Job Requirements:
•           A marketing and / or communications professional, with 5 years of experience working in internal communications within a professional service environment and with a working knowledge and understanding of external communications best practice.
•           Strong and proven relationship building skills, able to hold their own with senior leaders.
•            Change agent experience, preferably on major cross-border transformation initiatives.
•           Ability to work under pressure and manage numerous projects simultaneously across multiple timezones.
•           Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•           Able and available to travel internationally on a range of <20%
         candidate must be able to operate in a highly matrix organisation and have the ability to influence the actions of the organisation’s most senior business leaders: globally, regionally and in-member firm. Strong and proven commercial instincts and technical internal communications knowledge must be combined with resilience, cultural awareness and diplomacy to achieve stakeholder engagement.
         Crucially, the incumbent must be capable of dealing with ambiguity and applying creativity to develop and implement innovative solutions, often from a nebulous starting position.


Job Duties:
•           To manage and execute on an internal communications plan for Global Management Consulting that is aligned to external communications and marketing ambitions. This will involve:
•           Supporting the Global Head of Management Consulting and Centres of Excellence leaders with executive communications, breathing creativity and energy into messaging and channels.
•           Building, maintaining and developing a connected network of Management Consulting practices across our network of member firms.
•           Producing high-quality and impactful communications, whether face-to-face activity, electronic or hard-copy.
•           Working with external communication colleagues in Global Advisory and beyond to drive issues-led internal communications, including launch support for priority thought leadership internally.
•           Elevating internal communication support for global growth strategy ambitions in Global Management Consulting.
•           Accountability for establishing and meeting key output and impact communication KPIs that support Global Management Consulting’s Marketing and business ambitions.
•           To redefine the relationship between national and global communications. This will involve:
•           Ensuring that globally agreed communication priorities are rolled-out once and well in member firms.
•           Listening and delivering on the needs of business leaders by leveraging best practice.
•           Connecting key stakeholders where they share common commercial or business interests.
•           Putting member firm needs at the heart of all internal communication activities.
•           To support the integrity and reputation of KPMG. This will involve:
•           Providing communications counsel and effective one-to-one support to global leaders on raising their internal profile.
•           Liaising with other global teams within and outside of Global Advisory and Global Management Consulting to ensure joined up communication, including: Sales & Markets, Knowledge Management; Functions (Audit and Tax); PPC; Quality and Risk; corporate communication  activation teams; and Learning & Development among others;

At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need extra time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.
