Job Description:
The Senior Buyer is responsible for the management of key supply contracts, and the effective procurement of materials for our manufacture processes. Success in the role is driven through the development and fostering of strong, supportive relationships with our suppliers, effective negotiation and creative solutions to meet the needs of our customers and plant operations.


Job Requirements:
• Post secondary education in Business and working toward or completion of PMAC Certificate;
• Results-oriented with the ability to take initiative and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
• Effective communicator and team player;
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and evaluate supplier contracts;
• Well organized with strong analytical and computer skills in an ERP environment;
• Previous experience procuring materials in a print converting or manufacturing environment.


Job Duties:
• Negotiate product pricing, supply and service relationships with major suppliers;
• Evaluate needs for key materials in the production process & procure accordingly;
• Assess opportunities for improvement in supply chain through evaluation of price/value & inventory carrying costs;
• Work toward innovative solutions, in collaboration with technical and operations groups, to support new product and process development
• Work closely with sales and operations groups to understand needs and effectively manage inventory at optimal levels.
• Lead and mentor Junior Buyer in support of overall procurement group
