The McKeil Group operates a diverse fleet of vessels and specializes in the transportation of dry and liquid bulk, oversized project cargoes, heavy equipment, and general cargo.

McKeil Marine Limited has an immediate opening for a Business Systems Manager/Analyst to as the technical expert for the development, implementation, management and day-to-day support of systems and networks. As a hands-on versatile leader, you are equally comfortable and competent in dealing with day-to-day PC tech issues and partnering with functional leaders to define business needs and processes.  At McKeil Marine, we are growing fast by developing and implementing innovative marine solutions with a broad customer base in challenging geographic environments.  You will evaluate new approaches to deliver IT services and optimize the functionality of systems, networks and data in a dynamic multi-workplace environment.

Job Requirements:
• post secondary degree in Information or Computer Science
• At least 5 years of experience working in an IT environment
• 3+ years providing hardware and software support.
• You are a self-starting individual who can work independently and communicate effectively at all levels whether on-site or in conjunction with a remote location and most of all you value culture.

Job Duties;
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of info systems;
• Work with functional groups to define business needs and processes;
• Source leading edge IT solutions for McKeil including shore based offices, vessels, and satellite offices;
• Provide various forms of computer-related technical assistance and improve staff efficiency through the use of technology.
• Develop business cases, implementation plans and act as a project manager for new systems;
• Prepare IT budget and monitor and control spending appropriately;
• Provide or source systems training required within the organization; Manage day to day PC support services;
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and manage external IT service providers;
• Develop IT policies and procedures including appropriate use guidelines;
• Formalize the disaster recovery plan and test for effectiveness;
• Maintain inventory of internal licenses and track to ensure compliance;
• Acquire, maintain inventory and ensure the proper disposition of software and hardware;
• Manage phones (land, cellular and tablets), long distance, data exchange, and communication for cost effectiveness and service;
• Other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.
