Contract Duration:  Approximately thirteen (13) months
Health – Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention - Healthy Eating-Adult Team

Job Requirements:
• University degree in Health Promotion or related health field combined with 1 to 3 years related experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation
• Strong analytical skills to interpret and apply data
• Excellent understanding of population health principles
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong critical thinking and leadership skills
• Strong report writing skills
• Flexible and able to adapt to an ongoing changing environment
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS projects and Microsoft Outlook
• A willingness to travel to various locations and work some evenings and weekends


Job Duties:
As an integral member of the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Division, you will work in a self directed manner within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
• Apply health promotion principles and strategies to policy development and program implementation in collaboration with appropriate department staff and community partners
• Program planning, development, implementation and evaluation of health promotion programs using proven tools
• Develop recommendations based on analysis of data and results related to program planning, research and evidence informed practice as well as to prepare and submit reports as required
• Develop and maintain productive relationships including consultation with key stakeholders in the community and liaise with internal and external departments, agencies and organizations.


Compensation:  Band 6 - As per Non-Union Salary Structure plus comprehensive benefits
