Job Description
Perform all services offered in the TLE (i.e. oil changes, tire installations and rotations, etc.). Processes all TLE Service Orders and operates the TLE Register if required. Follows double check procedures on all vehicles.

Licensing & Other Qualifications

  • Must have a valid and full provincial Driver’s License. 
  • Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles is preferred. 
  • All TLE Associates must complete the required in-store Certification program. 
  • Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. 
  • Basic Reading/Writing Skills 
  • Strong written communication skills. 
  • Ability to understand the meaning of written or printed matter and to record information by inscribing characters or symbols. 
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of the TLE (i.e. services and products).

Physical Demands

  • The Associate will be required to perform tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive movements (i.e. reaching above shoulder and waist level). 
  • The Associate will be required to climb ladders (i.e. retrieve merchandise, stock shelves etc.

Job Duties:

  • Perform all services offered in the TLE (i.e. oil changes, tire installations and rotations, etc.).

  • Handles and processes claims merchandise (i.e. tires). 
  • Maintains a safe work environment through maintaining cleanliness and identifying all unsafe working conditions on the sales floor and service area. 
  • Adheres to all TLE uniform requirements and safety guidelines. 
  • Provides excellent Customer Service by: Practicing the 3 Metre Rule. 
  • Answering Customer calls promptly. 
  • Assisting Customers in finding merchandise. 
  • Answering register calls promptly. 
  • Operating the register when needed. 
  • Showing a high sense of urgency with all assignments. 
  • Following proper procedures for handling claims merchandise. 
  • Being knowledgeable about register operations. 
  • Providing assistance to the front end Associates with price checks. 
  • Remains knowledgeable regarding all areas of the store. 
  • Practices safe work habits by: Cleaning all spills quickly. 
  • Following all safety and emergency policies and procedures. 
  • Keeping the floor clear of all objects. 
  • Properly using all ladders and ensuring they are not left on the sales and TLE shop floor. 
  • Following proper lifting techniques. 
  • Ensuring all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner. 
  • Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines are being followed properly. 
  • Ensuring stable stacking of merchandise. 
  • Using back support belt when necessary. 
  • Being knowledgeable about emergency and safety procedures.
