Position Summary:
The Digital Marketing Specialist will ensure growth in site visitor and member numbers and in brand commitment and loyalty by activating marketing priorities, themes and promotions on Metro’s digital platforms as well as for managing, maintaining and updating the platforms. This position will contribute, using digital platforms, to creating a customized grocery planning and shopping experience for our customers.

Job Requirements:
• College diploma or University studies degree (focus in Marketing, Communication, Business)
• 3 -5 years’ relevant experience (Digital Marketing or Agency)
• Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Internet knowledge.
• Ability to work within budget perimeters.
• Experience using Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Pinterest, Google+)
• Excellent communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills, with a drive to achieve results.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage store network with sense of urgency and customer focus.
• Ability to listen and synthesize information from a number of sources.
• Great attention to detail.
• Customer focus.

Job Duties among others:
• In close collaboration with the Ontario Marketing team, defines activation plan for each marketing pillar, priority, theme and promotion for Metro’s digital platforms.
• Develops and maintains calendar of digital marketing activities in connection with strategic planning.
• Develops and effectively implements marketing initiatives and action plans on Metro’s digital platforms.
• Manages contests and promotions.
• Plans and follows budget allocated to activation of marketing initiatives carried out on digital platforms.
• Managing digital platforms:
• Maintains and updates digital platforms, mainly metro.ca, foodbasics.ca, and other sites, according to action plans.
• Actively participates in user experience optimization and platform evolution.
• Monitors and optimizes operational processes. Implements and optimizes the overall SEO/SEM strategy.
• Actively participates in digital platforms’ member acquisition and engagement strategy.
