Job Description:
The Jr. Accounting Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the Accounting Manager and the Accounting Department. They will be required to liaise with the Freezers, Traders and Logistics to keep records up to date. This role is accountable to the Accounting Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

•     Accounts Payable
•     Accounts Receivable
•     Inventory Reconciliation
•     Resolve inventory problems and discrepancies
•     Working on a 3 week Product Cycle and sales cycle
•     Sales confirmation and purchase order reconciliation
•     Complete job cost closings
•     Cash application process
•     Year End Audit
•     Internal and External Audits
•     Invoicing
•     Sales Analysis Report
•     Foreign Exchange
•     Assist with any general office duties when required.

Qualifications:

•     Problem-solving and analytical ability
•     Organizational skills
•     Accuracy and attention to detail
•     Able to perform business math
•     Able to work independently with some direction
•     Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
•     Team player who works productively with wide range of people
•     Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
•     Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
•     Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
•     University Degree in Business and or Accounting
•     Working towards an accounting designation would be considered an asset
•     1-2 years in a similar position
•     Fluency in Spanish and English
