Job Summary:
National Tax is seeking two talented Tax Senior Managers for contract opportunities.

The National Tax Group is the cornerstone of KPMG's tax knowledge sharing and captures the collective brain of KPMG Tax professionals across Canada.

We also develop tax knowledge-sharing tools with the goal to create a single interface to all internal and external research sources, with links to our Business School.

This contract opportunity in National Tax will put you in the position to know about breaking tax developments and the latest trends first. It will also foster a more "well rounded" perspective by giving you broad exposure to the Tax practice as a whole and the opportunity to enhance both your technical and business skills. Just as importantly, it's a great way to expand your network.

Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a Senior Manager, CPA or Lawyer, highly rated with extensive experience in Canadian Domestic, Private Company or International tax that also has:

  •     Excellent writing and communication skills
  •     A broad knowledge of Canadian tax
  •     Good project management skills
  •     Solid knowledge of, and experience in, using technology tools (e.g. T2, Excel, PowerPoint)
  •     The ability to work independently
  •     A passion for learning
  •     Completion of the In Depth Tax Course 

There are two contract opportunities, one for 6-12 months and the other for 12-15 months. Both are full time positions and are based in KPMG's downtown Toronto office.

Job Duties:
Although other opportunities will become available as this role evolves, the successful candidate will:
  •     Assist in writing articles for our knowledge sharing publications
  •     Review developing tax planning ideas and enable the sharing of this knowledge
  •     Work on other National Tax projects, enhancing and sharing knowledge to increase the efficiency of our tax practice
  •      Collaborate with the publication of our key external tax client books
  •     Assist in the preparation of technical learning.
