Job Summary:
This Business Intelligence Developer role is on the Production Support team and is responsible for maintaining and supporting multiple Data Warehouses, BI applications and data integration applications.

Skills and Experience Requirements:
  •     5+ years hand-on experience working as an IT Application/Technical support analyst
  •     3+ years working in a DW/BI environment
  •     ETL Tools: Informatica PowerCenter(5+ years)
  •     BI Tools: SAP BusinessObjects Universe Designer, WebIntelligence, Crystal (3+years)
  •     Strong knowledge of SQL
  •     Mainframe knowledge/experience in TSO, ZEKE, JCL
  •     Experience with change management and incident management processes
  •     Experience in on-call support and trouble shooting
  •     DW Methodology: Kimball, Inmon, dimensional and relational data modeling (3+ years)
  •     Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, flat files (5+ years)
  •     Documentation: Technical writing, Visio, PowerPoint, flowcharting (5+ years)
  •     Initiative: Demonstrated level of initiative and judgement in order to organize and prioritize tasks, workload and projects
  •     Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a virtual team to achieve tangible results, and ability to manage and resolve conflict
  •     Communication: Can verbally communicate with clarity in one-on-one or group situations, or over the telephone. Written communication is clear and concise.
  •     Analytical: Conceptual, requirements interpretation, solution creation and problem-solving abilities
  •     Collaboration: Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  •     Education: Computer Science degree or certificate, or equivalent, supplemental training
  •     Environment: Experience working in large organization

Assets:
  •     ITIL Foundations Level 3 Certification
  •     Knowledge/experience in COBOL
  •     Knowledge/experience in Microsoft SSIS, SQL script and stored procedures
  •     Knowledge/experience with Metadata tools
  •     Knowledge/experience with Data Quality and/or Data Profiling tools
  •     SQL 2008 Fast Track DW, Netezza, “Big Data”, Data Governance, SAS, ADO, OLE DB
  •     Databases: SAS
  •     BI Tools: Dashboard Builder, Xcelsius, Crystal, SAS
  •     OLAP tools: Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services; Business Objects Voyager
  •     Group Benefits or Group Retirement Services knowledge

Notes/Unique Requirements:
  •     Some additional hours will be required outside of normal schedule for any critical production issues
  •     Occasional travel maybe required between the different office locations

Job Duties:
  •     Maintain and support of end-to-end Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions
  •     Ensure appropriate prioritization and resolution of production defects in accordance with agreed upon SLAs
  •     Perform troubleshooting and performance optimization
  •     Contribute to definition and implementation of standards and best practices for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence
  •     Identify trends and develop appropriate processes to ensure timely resolution and ongoing continuous improvement of key processes
  •     Ensure compliance with incident, problem and change management policies and processes
  •     Training and support of end users
  •     Creation and maintenance of metadata and data dictionary
  •     Creation and maintenance of documentation
  •     Develop an understanding of the business applications supported as well as the business directions
  •     Provide on-call support which is required outside the normal working hours on a rotational basis
