Job Summary:
Applications Operations and Services is looking for an Applications Analyst, with a strong working background in enterprise content management and significant experience with the Filenet P8 suite of tools, to join the Imaging and Workflow team within Enterprise Services.

The Image and Workflow team focuses on its goals by bringing together a highly skilled team of capture, workflow, and image practitioners aimed at:


  •     Preserving and exploiting the full value of our capture, workflow, and image technology investments
  •     Promoting and providing delivery enablement through a consistent set of skills, standards and proven practices
  •     Supporting and maintaining a stable, high performing production environment
  •     Reducing overall risk of implementation on projects and project realization
  •     Allowing for repeatable implement approaches and a consistent deployment process
  •     Ensuring that capture, workflow, and image knowledge is shared throughout the organization

The successful candidate will be multi-skilled and adaptable with a solid working knowledge of Filenet P8 in a project analysis and delivery capacity.   The environment includes the Filenet core, BPF, and Records management modules. The candidate will be exposed to a variety of assignments. She/he can work effectively with our business analysts, account teams, and business partners to identify and design IT solutions that meet business needs.  We are looking for an individual who can provide technical support, solution, design and analysis leadership to developers and within projects they are assigned. The individual will use his/her knowledge of development, information security and IT architecture best practices to ensure architectural processes and direction are followed within Enterprise Applications, Information and Services.

EAIS is a multi-site team therefore the successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively in this environment.

Job Requirements:
  •     Proven development/analyst skills preferably with a degree in Computer Science, related technology degree/diploma, or equivalent experience
  •     Certification and/or significant experience with the IBM FileNet P8 suite of tools, specifically Business Process Management, Content Management & Records Management modules
  •     Proven technical lead capabilities, able to co-ordinate work tasks for other developers
  •     Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multi-site environment
  •     Experience with integrating vendor packages into an established production environment consisting of various technologies and platforms
  •     Demonstrated problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations/problems systematically and deliver effective right-sized solutions in a timely manner
  •     Strong working background with client-server environments and exposure to web based applications
  •     Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multi-site environment
  •     Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks efficiently
  •     Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  •     Experience working in an Unix/Oracle distributed environment
  •     Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and stored procedures
  •     Experience with Oracle WebLogic ApplicationServer
  •     Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multi-site environment
  •     Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks efficiently
  •     Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Additional Assets:
  •     Experience with the Kofax suite of Capture tools
  •     AIIM and/or CompTIA Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+) credentials
  •     Java and/or VB programming knowledge
  •     Experience with System Development Life Cycle Methodologies
  •     Background of Change Management process, GCC requirements
  •     Knowledge of source code management (PVCS Dimensions)
  •     Understanding of web application development

Notes/Unique Requirements:
  •     Occasional weekend and/or off-hour work in support of project implementations
  •     Enhanced Reliability Status will be required for this position

Job Duties:
  •     Create architectural solutions and design documents (high level & detailed) for business initiatives
  •     Identify and assist in the re-engineering , improvement or replacement of business processes and associated technologies
  •     Lead in design, coding, debugging, upgrading, implementation and support of these applications
  •     Gather, analyze, document, and manage business requirements in the process of initiating solutions or responding to requests for assistance from business partners
  •     Apply analysis skills to understand and assess the impact of infrastructure and technical changes within the environment and to support these changes
  •     Act as a development technical lead on different initiatives within the team
  •     Learn about our partners' business, existing applications and the infrastructure that supports them
  •     Providing development and infrastructure estimates at various levels of a project to match architectural solution, including assistance in business case creation
  •     Ensure SLF Information Security and Governance Policies are complied to in any solution
  •     Assist SLF architects in developing strategies and roadmaps for the portfolio of applications
  •     Technical design, support, tuning, performance design, monitoring and maintenance of our Filenet applications and environments
  •     This role includes occasional on-call and after hours support
