Job Description
We are looking for an energetic and experienced manufacturing specialist to join our cyclotron development team. In this role you will have full operational responsibility for the manufacturing of cyclotrons and lead the team to develop and execute plans for the production of 14/15p Cyclotrons with a minimum production capacity of 6 per year, and 1 month construction time. Job Requirements:
- The preferred candidate will have a Trades Certificate or the equivalent experience in a relevant technical field with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing scheduling experience
- Competency in the use of Microsoft Project software required
- Competent with technical systems, specifically electrical and mechanical required
- Good organizational, scheduling and prioritizing skills required
- Good written and oral communication skills required
- Good inter personal skills, with the ability to build consensus among stakeholders required
- Proactive, self motivated, results oriented
- Flexible and comfortable at working under time constraints
- Experience in a design and build environment is an asset
- Must have security clearance or ability to acquire one
Job Duties:
- Develop the processes and manage the resources necessary for the procurement and manufacturing of parts for prototype development of all cyclotron designs
- Work closely with BCSI engineering, Best Theratronics staff and suppliers to ensure that all manufacturing activities are planned, scheduled and tracked and that this results in the components being delivered on time, on budget and to specifications
- Work with the Cyclotron Coordinator to ensure efficient transfer of technology between production and engineering teams
- Identify the processes, training and staff required to manufacture cyclotrons efficiently, on time and with high quality standards
- Develop production plans for all future cyclotron models
- Work with the engineering team to identify and implement significant cost savings that lead to overall improved profitability of the Best cyclotron business
- Build and maintain an accurate cyclotron development schedule; proactively identify risks associated with achieving development schedule; confirm with the PM the necessary and appropriate steps to resolve these risks
- Provide weekly summary and regularly scheduled project reviews to ensure project timing, budget, resources and quality is as planned
