As a member of the Healthy Eating – Adult multidisciplinary team, you will provide input into the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the priority areas that influence healthy eating in the adult population.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree specializing in food and nutrition or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship
  • Current general registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Minimum 2 year experience in community/or public health nutrition
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills 
  • Proficient computers skills
  • Knowledge of health promotion strategies (e.g., policy, social marketing, environmental supports)
  • Strong program planning and evaluation skills
  • Background and understanding of research methods and  analyses including awareness of evidence informed decision making
  • Demonstrated partnership/collaboration skills 
  • Ability to travel to various regional locations and a willingness to work some evenings and weekends.


Job Duties:

  • Work in a self-directed manner within a collaborative team environment and be involved in data collection and situational assessments to direct future program development for healthier food environments for adults
  • Review and utilize evidence informed decision making as well as apply knowledge regarding concepts of population health, health inequity, diversity, determinants of health and effective health promotion strategies to guide practice
  • Stay abreast on current credible research on healthy eating trends and the food environment and provide summaries/briefings as appropriate


Compensation: Band 6 - As per Non-Union Salary Structure plus comprehensive benefits
