Job Summary:

Our Canadian Human Resources Lead will utilize commercial, dedicated and influential people leadership skills to deliver on strategic plans and drive a performance oriented culture, based on effective execution and accountability within a multinational environment.As our HR Lead, you will utilize your experienced functional knowledge, in all areas of human resources. In particular, this will include all of the areas of organizational design and effectiveness, and talent management, whilst you will have a high degree of business insight and leadership skills. This position will provide you with the opportunity to have end-to-end human resources responsibility in both a direct and matrix leadership capacity (L&OD, Reward, Talent Acquisition and HR Operations). You will act as a strategic partner to our Senior Management Team and key shareholders. Therefore, you are a solid communicator and capable of being a great partner to drive for results in a demanding dynamic competitive environment.


Key priorities within this role include quickly crafting appreciation for the domestic issues within the context of our global business; providing visible and inspiring leadership for the HR team in Canada, whilst truly aligning the best team to deliver the most effective services that meet local and international standards/requirements; improving overall employee and customer satisfaction and furthering Equifax’s commitment to performance optimization and people development. As a key member of the Canadian Leadership Team, this role reports to the Canada General Manager of Equifax Canada and is a member of the Extended HR Leadership Team, with dotted-line reporting to the Equifax Chief Human Resources Officer.

What You'll Do:

• You will lead the HR function in Canada in all HR topics, including organizational effectiveness, recruitment, talent management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement and HRIS systems.

• You will partner with, and provide support and direction to the Canadian General Manager and the local senior leadership team, enabling them to drive the talent management agenda.

• You'll utilize your expertise of the HR Centre of Excellence (CoE) members in the crafting of the design, development and implementation of strategic local HR projects, policies, processes, systems and programs throughout Canada and striving for the alignment of local HR activities with the business requirements in mind.

• You will execute effective local Talent Management (TM) initiatives in accordance with the company’s TM strategy to attract, identify, develop and retain the right employees and to maintain a powerful talent pipeline in Canada.

• By supporting organizational changes (restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestments), you will provide appropriate solutions to the business from the HR perspective.

• You will be leading a high performing HR organization across Canada and continuously developing the skills and competence of this function in line with business needs, whilst managing all local HR costs.

• As part of our HR community, you will encourage and promote the use of the best HR practices in Canada and embrace international collaboration.


Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years of dynamic human resources experience in a service-based business of a comparable size. At least 5 years of this will be in a senior management position, preferably in a matrixed multinational company.

• You will need to have had exposure to the broadest aspects of an HR function, with particular depth in organizational design, inclusion & diversity, talent management and development balanced with knowledge of the Canadian legal employment conditions.

• You have built a leadership reputation characterized by a strong collaborative orientation, an accessible and pragmatic style, and comfortable working within a global context. International experience is a definite asset.

• You have been successful in leading major project development and implementation, and organizational change efforts in a sustained and highly results and customer oriented environment.

• You possess a demonstrable track record of personal and team achievement over his / her career, with clear substantial personal contributions to the positive evolution of a business through his/her ability to execute directly and through others both strategically and tactically.
