Job Requirements:
• College diploma in manufacturing engineering technology or Engineering Degree
• Work experience: 5 years minimum in tier 1 or 2 automotive parts manufacturing or process engineering. Knowledge of flexible manufacturing equipment including laser, punching, bending, welding, and manual assembly.
• Experience with Solid Works 2013 3D modeling software, Profitkey manufacturing software, Microsoft excel/access and CAM programming software an asset.
• Ability to design parts and fixtures, create bill of materials and create detailed GD&T drawings for manufacturing.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficiency in oral and written communication
• Proficiency in TS16949
• Ability to follow established procedures
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to identify and solve problems through analysis
• Knowledge in the preparation of standards for PPAP's, FMEA's, ISIR's etc
• Strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties:
• Maintenance and Design of product line
• Assist in the design of new products using fundamental engineering principles
• Design of tooling/jigs/fixtures to aid in manufacturing
• Provide Business Unit Manager with technical information, drawings etc
• Prepare drawing packages for design review, customer approval, manufacturing and purchasing release, and final engineering deliverables required by Customer and or management.
• Provide support to manufacturing to clarify design issues
• Ensure all changes are tracked, logged and submitted to the Business Unit Manager.
• Provide project timing updates to the Business Unit Manager as required.
• Other functions as may be directed by management.
