Job Description:
A new Biopharmaceutical company located in Toronto, focused on the research, development and commercialization of innovative therapies in pulmonary and fibrotic diseases, is looking for an experienced Medical Affairs Director. Reporting to the President, he (she) will have to serve as the internal scientific expert, driving key medical strategies and tactics, building and growing strong advocacy relationships.

Job Requirements:
• An MD or Ph.D with a minimum of 5 years of medical, scientific affairs experience within the industry is required.
• Proven managerial skills and ability to interact well in a multi-functional team setting
• Strong background in communications is essential and prior involvement in managed care is strongly desired.
• Good understanding of strategic marketing
• Ability to link and align medical and commercial strategies.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in pulmonary diseases.

Job Duties include:
• Serve as the internal scientific expert, driving key medical strategies and tactics, building and growing strong advocacy relationships.
• Provide therapeutic expertise and develop, coach and mentor MSL staff as well as liaise and manage relationship with KOLs.
• Serving as the medical and scientific resource for all inquiries,
• Provide medical input into promotional and external materials and assure medical accuracy to materials.
